Welcome!

At Alpha Delta Pi, we are a sisterhood of friends, a family of individuals, and a home away from home. We embrace every woman's uniqueness, we encourage and support each other's goals and dreams, and we value character above all else. Founded in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, Alpha Delta Pi was the first secret society for women.

At Alpha Delta Pi, we constitute a sisterhood of companions, a family of distinct individuals, and a comforting haven away from home. Embracing the individuality of every woman, we foster an environment that encourages and supports each other’s aspirations and dreams, placing utmost value on character. Established in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, Alpha Delta Pi stands as the pioneering secret society for women.

Representing the Iota Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi, it is with great honor that I extend a warm welcome to our official website! I am Lindsey Wood, currently serving as the Chapter President of Alpha Delta Pi at Florida State University.

Receiving my bid to ADPi in 2021 was a moment of immense joy as I discovered my home away from home. Our sisterhood, cherished deeply, is destined to fortify over the years, extending far beyond our college days. The unwavering support from my sisters instills in me the confidence to conquer the seemingly impossible. The authentic love and profound friendships cultivated within Alpha Delta Pi have played a pivotal role in shaping the woman I am today, and for that, I am endlessly grateful. ADPi has imparted lessons in friendship, self-love, and the significance of being surrounded by women who propel me toward my best self.

Our sisters epitomize vibrant character, inspirational leadership, unwavering scholarship, and courageous authenticity—the four pillars of our sisterhood. In every Alpha Delta Pi, you’ll find a friend to share laughter, a sister to learn from, a dependable shoulder, a sympathetic ear, a wise word of counsel, and a hand to hold. Yet, ADPi transcends being merely a group of sincere, intelligent, beautiful, and empowering women; it is a welcoming space that promotes diversity, personal growth, and the foundational values of Alpha Delta Pi.

Our open motto, “We Live For Each Other,” encapsulates the essence of the sisterhood shared among every Alpha Delta Pi. Each sister endeavors to be a well-rounded woman while encouraging her fellow sisters to realize their full potential. This chapter serves as a platform for opportunity and encouragement, propelling our members to become outstanding leaders, scholars, and contributors within Florida State’s campus and the Tallahassee community.

Thank you for taking the time to delve into our chapter and discover the exceptional women who make this organization truly special. We hope you catch a glimpse of what this chapter means to us and why we proudly call Alpha Delta Pi our home. Feel free to explore our website further, and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or comments!
